When it rains, Ocean Park still keeps going. There's plenty of sheltered areas to protect you. Unfortunately, sometimes it gets stormy! Here's what happens when the weather turns bad.
The Hong Kong Observatory issues Rainstorm Warnings and Tropical Cyclone Signals, click on the icons to reveal Ocean Park's policies in the event they are issued.
Guest safety is our number one concern. As such, occasionally during inclement weather, certain rides and shows may need to be suspended. You may call our Enquiry Hotline at 3923 2323 for updated information. Thank you for your understanding.
Weather Warnings

Amber Rainstorm Warning
The Ocean Park will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm but some outdoor mechanical rides may be suspended. -


Red Rainstorm Warning
The Ocean Park will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm but some outdoor mechanical rides may be suspended. -


Black Rainstorm Warning
If the warning is hoisted during the operating hours, the Park will remain open with limited operations.
If the signal is in effect prior to the opening of the Park, the Park will delay opening for 2 hours after the signal is lower with limited operations.

Tropical Cyclone Signal No.1
The Ocean Park will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm but some outdoor mechanical rides may be suspended. -


Tropical Cyclone Signal No.3
The Ocean Park will remain open under normal circumstances with all outdoor mechanical rides suspended. -


Tropical Cyclone Signal No.8 or above
If the Tropical Cyclone Signal No.8 is hoisted during the operating hours, the Park will be closed in the shortest time subject to the clearance of the Park.
If the Tropical Cyclone Signal No.8 or above is in effect prior to the opening of the Park, the Park will delay opening for 2 hours after the signal No.8 is lowered with limited operations.
If the No.8 signal remains hoisted at 2 pm, Ocean Park will remain closed for the day. -
Cable car system may be suspended subject to wind speed.
